The Connoisseur B is a Geniales vitola, which measures at 155mm with a 54 ring gauge. This hefty cigar is beautiful in appearance, wrapped with a rich Corojo leaf and filled with luxurious tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo zone. Four years after the release of the Connossieur A, Habanos presents the H. Upmann Connossieur B. A logical addition to the historical tradition within the H. Upmann brand. Following on from the previous exclusive edition that is intended for both La Casa del Habano and Habanos Specialist stores, this Connossieur B also receives the second gold strap with both logos. The Connossieur B is presented in a Cabinet box of 25 pieces.
Aromas of honey and chocolate greeted us as we unwrapped this cigar, and continued as some of the initial flavours. A rich, full bodied smoke came out with a bang as soon as it was lit, and added a distinct creaminess to the palate. Additional notes of cedar, leather and nuts mingled together as this stick burned, reaching a light medium strength. There was a unique sugary and herbal twang left on the lips when we finally put it down, around the 90 minute mark.
This cigar would benefit greatly with some resting time, there was a light youthfulness to this stick that would balance itself out and add more depth to the already distinct flavours after some time in your humidor.
